German settler founded Wolfsberg in the 19th Century. The town of Wolfsberg sits on a hilltop 900m high – the town stretches along the main road that runs 2 kms along the crest.

In the early days, the inhabitants lived off of farming and forestry or worked in Reschitz city. Today the picturesque village is a holiday resort for people of all ages.

Traditions are still important. During Church Anniversary the village band plays music, and both locals and international visitors join the celebration. Even German dancing choruses join the event.

The International Jazz Festival is one of the modern festivals celebrated in Wolfsberg; it is known throughout the country.
